Emily lives and works from her home in Haarlem, NL.
Having had over a ten year career as a fashion designer, Emily has continually been drawn back to painting. When the Covid pandemic struck, Emily took the time to paint the people she loved and missed and hasn't been able to stop since.
Emily paints with an almost cinematic intensity, her use of high contrast and rich tones bring decadence to these everyday scenes. She favours using found surfaces for her canvas including wood, chipboard and old book covers.
